A Most Wonderful Day

What a wonderful day!  It started with our Pre-Delivery Inspection for the new house.  Last step before move-in. 

 The view I'll see while scrubbing bottles...aaah.

A well-timed nap in the car seat.

 A spiffy laundry room floor.

And shiny new stairs!

A diaper switch on the fly...Chase's first open-air change!

 Then a birthday picnic for Granddad in the woods.

 We have an outdoorsman on our hands...he just loves the warm, fresh air.

March 20th is definitely a special day.

First Toronto Adventure

 Beautiful day - perfect chance to show Chase the big city for the first time.

 We were able to walk a few blocks before nap time.

 Every morning, my little guy opens his eyes and gives me his widest and brightest smiles of the day.

 It's so heart-meltingly sweet.  I never want to forget it.

Kitchen Sinky

The best thing that's ever been in our sink!

We have a baby tub but I thought we'd keep it simple tonight and try out the kitchen sink.  Chase is learning to love his bath and starting to kick and splash.  So sweet!

Lil' Turkey

I had to put a little olive oil on Chase's scalp to loosen his cradle cap, and the easiest way to do it was with a basting brush!

 "Are you serious, Mom?"

 I just wanted to gobble up my little turkey.

 Sorry, baby.  This won't be the last of your mama's silly ideas!

House Progress

On our way to check out the house.  I was admiring my new make-up case (the only time I have to do my make-up is in the car!)

Chay-Chay was concentrating on Tingalayo the Donkey.

  The surprise this week was that the countertop is installed!  I'm loving the light colour...we've had dark counters for years and it's time for a change.

 

The stairs were stained but not urethaned.

We also bought our appliances and I couldn't help but do one of my crappy mock-ups in MS Paint:

Who needs Photoshop?  Ha!
